Coaching is a process that helps people improve their skills or achieve their goals. It's a partnership between a coach and an individual or group that involves: 

Providing guidance, support, and feedback inspiring the participant to maximize their potential Helping the participant creatively consider and put into practice ways to improve

Coaching can help with a variety of goals, including:
Improving communication and interpersonal skills  Developing leadership and management capabilities Finding solutions to personal and work-related issues Enhancing conflict resolution capacity Improving attitudes and motivation Increasing personal confidence Improving management performance
Coaching is different from psychotherapy in that:
Coaching works from the present to the future, while psychotherapy works from the past to improve the present.A coach doesn't try to cure their client, but instead considers them to be fully-fledged, healthy, and capable.

Some key rules of coaching include:

Coaching is founded on confidentiality and trust. The solution to the coachee's issue lies within the coachee.There's no judgment or fixed agenda, but have an agreed goal for each session
